Hello My Name Is: 100% Merino Wool
We have always wanted to carry 100% merino wool, in a variety of colours, as a staple in our shop and we are thrilled that we now can. This merino is soft, not scratchy, but it is still 100% wool so you can still expect some of the expected wool texturing from it. There is no lycra content in this fabric, but it does have beautiful mechanical stretch making it versatile and perfect for so many things. Go ahead and make your basics - tops, base layers, PJs, kids clothing. We also recommend you use the main fabric for cuffs and collars. We believe it has enough recovery to work for it.
To note about this wool - it is both OEKO-Tex certified as well as RWS Certified (Responsible Wool Standard.) RWS is a voluntary standard that addresses the welfare of the sheep and land that they graze on. It ensures that wool comes from farms that have a progressive approach to managing their land, practice holistic respect for animal welfare of the sheep and respect the Five Freedoms of animal welfare.
